Husker Athletes Lab Rats?

If you haven't seen the promotional video the University of Nebraska has produced, watch it below.
A very fancy production what essentially comes down to begging for money to build not just the best facilities in the Big 10 but also the best athletes.

Man or Machine?

After watching the video two things come to mind.  The first is Ivan Drago, the Russian opponent in Rocky IV.   I get the feeling Husker athletes will be more like lab rats and then machines.  Seriously even the website is set up to look futuristic. 

The second, academics.   Seriously, not once in this HD production is academics mentioned.  The sad part is that academics is a major part of the new renovations.   This video shows that getting fans to give more is about showing peak performance, first class facilities and of course more wins than losses.
