Prater Finally Gets His Shot At Nebraska

Shaun Prater
The Iowa football team gets some good news, Shaun Prater is coming back for his Senior season.  This means the Hawks return a first team all Big-10 Defensive back who had four interceptions.  Prater's return also provides key leadership on a team that wants to forget about the disappointments of 2010.  Read Hawk Central Story Here

From a personal standpoint, I got to believe in the decison process that somewhere Prater new if he came back for his senior season he would get his one and only chance to play and possibly beat Nebraska.

This would mean a lot for the former Omaha Central standout who was a first team all state pick for the Eagles leading them to a Nebraska Class A State Championship in 2007.  Prater turned down an offer to play at Nebraska,  a decision that turned out to be the right one as he is first team all Big-10 selection and barring injury

will be a draft pick next season.

You can bet now that he's made his decision, Shaun and the Prater family have November 26th circled on the calendar.  He's only going to get one shot at the Big Red in front of friends, family and some who think he may be a traitor.
