This has nothing to do with Nebraska or Iowa athletics, but I have to write something. I am stranded in Peoria, IL. Of all the places to get stuck for a blizzard, I know people make fun of Des Moines and Omaha as drive thru cities, but this is NOT where you want to be stuck.
I am here to do the Play-By-Play for the Creighton vs. Bradley Basketball game on KMTV in Omaha as well as ESPN Full Court and ESPN 3.
They are expecting 24 inches of snow! My God, 24 inches? The game has been moved from 7 O'clock to 3 O'clock but there is still no sure sign that we will be able to fly out tonight, and worst yet we may not be ablet to leave until Thursday.
If anyone know of any good "establishments" in Peoria, please let me know. Otherwise I'm going to find a bottle of Makers Mark after the game.
I will be posting a new column on Letter of Intent day, which is tomorrow later tonight or early tomorrow. Iowa doesn't seem to be affected at all by the 13 players hospitalized and Nebraska doesn't seem to be hampered by Shawn Watson still calling the offense.
Here to the City of Peoria's roads department, keep the plows pushing.
